{"id":14489,"date":"2022-07-13T22:03:32","date_gmt":"2022-07-13T22:03:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/commandcenter.netline.com\/?p=14489"},"modified":"2022-07-20T16:55:06","modified_gmt":"2022-07-20T16:55:06","slug":"netline-portal-how-to-connecting-to-zoho-crm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/commandcenter.netline.com\/index.php\/2022\/07\/13\/netline-portal-how-to-connecting-to-zoho-crm\/","title":{"rendered":"NetLine Portal How To: Connecting to Zoho CRM"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zoho.com\/crm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zoho CRM<\/a>&nbsp;is one of the more popular CRMs across the world\u2014especially in India, where the company\u2019s headquarters and the majority of its 250,000+ customers reside.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With so many users entrusting Zoho CRM to house their leads, we wanted to make sure it was easy for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/portal.netline.com\/\">NetLine Portal<\/a>&nbsp;users to pass their lead data automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Connecting the NetLine Portal to Zoho via Zapier<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Linking the NetLine Portal over to Zoho CRM is simple and straightforward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For our purposes, we\u2019re going to start at step nine (Fulfillment) of the Campaign Setup as you\u2019ve likely already completed steps one through eight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(If you\u2019d rather watch the video to learn how to connect the portal to Zoho, you can do so below.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Connecting NetLine to Zoho CRM via Zapier: How To Video\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LFNOCmx4E18?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Connect Your NetLine Account to the Zoho CRM<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, there\u2019s no direct API that directly connects NetLine to Zoho CRM. This could certainly change in the future, but in the meantime, this is why the internet invented&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/zapier.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zapier<\/a>! (If you don\u2019t already have a Zapier account, you can&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/zapier.com\/sign-up\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">create one for free<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting at the Fulfillment step within the NetLine Portal, scroll down to the&nbsp;<em>Connector Fulfillment<\/em>&nbsp;section and select \u2018Other\u2019 from the&nbsp;<strong>Connector Type&nbsp;<\/strong>dropdown menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog001-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog001-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4128\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, we\u2019ll hit,<strong>&nbsp;Edit\/Setup<\/strong>. You\u2019ll see here is a quick API key, which will allow NetLine to speak to Zoho CRM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From here, we\u2019ll need to figure out a few things:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Where are we sending the data?<\/li><li>Which fields are important to us?<\/li><li>Are there any constant fields?&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog002-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog002-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4127\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, these fields will be determined by the needs and goals of our lead gen program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Establish Your Zapier to Zoho CRM Webhook<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to catch data being sent to Zapier, we\u2019ll use a webhook; specifically a Webhook by Zapier, which we\u2019ll want to connect to Zoho CRM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, we\u2019ll want to Catch Hook (which means we\u2019re catching the data from NetLine) and instruct Zapier to Find or Create a New Lead. There are few different options available to you here, but based on the use case, our educated guess is that we\u2019ll to want to find or create a lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog004.PNG-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog004.PNG-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4125\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once all of these fields are complete, hit&nbsp;<strong>Try it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Test Your Trigger<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In Zapier, you\u2019ll be greeted by a multi-step page. The first thing you should see under Choose app &amp; event&nbsp;is&nbsp;<strong>Set up trigger<\/strong>. Copy this URL. With this URL copied, we\u2019ll jump back to the Portal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog005-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog005-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4124\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Under&nbsp;<strong>Config Settings<\/strong>, paste the URL into the empty URL field. Hit&nbsp;<strong>Submit<\/strong>. We\u2019ll come back to this page in a moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog006-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog006-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4123\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, we\u2019ll return to Zapier and hit continue. When presented with the option to&nbsp;<strong>Test Trigger<\/strong>, click the blue button. You will get a message saying Zapier didn\u2019t find anything. We\u2019ll need to send a test via the NetLine Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog007-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog007-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4122\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Returning to the Portal, you should see a new option under&nbsp;<strong>Connector Fulfillment<\/strong>&nbsp;and directly next to&nbsp;<strong>Connector Type<\/strong>&nbsp;to select&nbsp;<strong>Send Test<\/strong>. Click this link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog008-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog008-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4121\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Clicking Send Test will pull up a number of test records which will be sent over directly to Zapier through the connector. After hitting&nbsp;<strong>Submit<\/strong>&nbsp;in the pop-up window, the system will take a second and confirm that those test records have been sent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog009-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog009-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4120\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, we\u2019ll tab back over into Zapier and once again hit&nbsp;<strong>Test trigger<\/strong>. Now the data should be found within Zapier.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you see this screen above, hooray! It worked! Hit&nbsp;<strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Connecting Zapier\u2019s Webhook to Zoho CRM<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At this point, technically, we\u2019ve already confirmed that NetLine has sent data in real-time to Zapier. Now what you need to do is connect Zapier to Zoho. To complete this step, you will need to be a Zoho CRM paying customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog010-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.netline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/ZohoCRMblog010-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4118\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the Action step in Zapier (Find or Create Lead in Zoho CRM), you\u2019ll choose \u201c<strong>Converted Lead<\/strong>\u201d from the Action Event dropdown menu. Hit continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. Sign in to Zoho CRM<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Under Choose Account, you\u2019ll hit, \u201cSign Into Zoho CRM,\u201d where you\u2019ll be met with a&nbsp;pop-up OAuth to login. Effectively, this connects Zoho to Zapier, and Zapier is then connected to NetLine from there.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only other things that you\u2019ll need to consider is going back into this and looking at the fields that we\u2019re delivering and first figuring out are these fields and the naming conventions that Zoho is receiving them as meaning that like is city or, or lowercase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may be required to add some constant fields like an API key, but this will all be addressed in Zapier\u2019s setup flow. You can pass in campaign names and tracking codes and even UTM parameters, if you so choose. If there are fields that you don\u2019t even want to receive, you can simply remove those, which means we won\u2019t be sending that data to Zapier, which means that most certainly won\u2019t go into Zoho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Successfully Connecting NetLine to Zoho CRM in a Matter of Minutes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s it!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zapier does continue forward with that progression a bit more, as there are little tools and tips to help connect the dots for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope this was helpful and kind of getting you on your way to passing along your leads!
